Oriel Q Gallery, Narberth, Summer Auction

Today was the annual Summer Auction at the Oriel Q Gallery. I have volunteered to help out when I can, though it hasn't been as often as I'd like. Work is incredibly busy at the moment due to the thousands of tourists in West Wales for the Summer Holidays. I'm not complaining! Its great for Toursim that so many people love to visit West Wales.

But today I went along to the gallery with my camera to take a few shots of the auction in action. There were some wonderful pieces of art for sale and most I think were bid for and sold. Its just a shame that there weren't many people in attendance. Next year, I must help to rally up the troops to get more people to come along.

The art pieces on offer came from many different sources, mostly local artists, some unknown and some well known. There were bargains to be had, that sadly didn't get the attention they deserved. But those who did buy, went away very happy indeed.

Here are some images of the event
