Symbolism

Being a spiritual person, I notice symbols and things that make me aware of metaphors constantly. Its in my DNA. They are there for me to notice... at least that is my belief.

While in Broad Haven with my friend who is training for a triathlon, on Sunday, I sat on the beach for a while and then ventured down to the sea to take some photos of the patterns of the water.

This image in particular, was clear to me. I see two eyes and elephant skin. To anyone else it is probably just a picture of water. But my emotions these past few days have been of impatience. The elephant is a symbol of integrity, strength and patience, to name but a few. So to me this image spoke very clearly. It gave me the answer I needed to make me stop and think about a situation. I realised that as usual I wanted something to happen immediately, when in fact, life is not like that. If there is something you want, patience is important. If the object or person of your choice is worth waiting for, then patience is a must.
