Today I came upon a hidden gem. I headed out towards the coast and passing through the village of Stackpole Cheriton this church caught my eye. I hadn't visited here before. Churches hold a fascination for me, there is a wealth of history and culture within their walls.
Here I was overwhelmed by all the ancient sculptures and artifacts, and the more modern stained glass windows. I had to take a few minutes to allow my eyes to take it all in. It did feel a little eerie and dark, and lonely too. But once I started photographing, the dark became more light and my interest with all around me grew.
